Does my ex still love me?

me and my ex have broken up 3 times he broke up with me once and i broke up with him the other 2 times, well we were best friends b4 we went out at all and after we broke up each time we still talked all the time and told each other we loved one another, but this time is diff we dont talk but maybe once a month and on 4th of july weekend at the rodeo we didnt talk the 1st day but we did the last day and we were talkn and i went to walk away and we grabbed my wast and wouldent let go until i turned around and when i did our lips touched and after that we went where no1 could c us and we were making out, and we texted that night but we havent talked sense that night and 1 best guy friend is best friends with my ex and he told me my ex said he still loves me but how do i know if he wont return my texts or calls?
