NYC is great and I want to move there, but?

I think NYC is a great place and want to move there, but there's one thing that bothers me even more than how expensive it is. I know this seems ridiculous, but the New York (as well as Boston) accent grates on my nerves more than anything. New Yorkers are some of the nicest and most educated people around. I will not argue that but for whatever reason, I just cannot stand their accent. A lot of people love listening to it, and some people even try to emulate it. That is fine, but me - - I feel the opposite. i don't want to sound mean, nor do I want to offend anyone. I was just wondering if anyone agrees with me, and am I being ridiculous not to move there for that reason?
