Is AVLAMOS a way of saying HABLAMOS in spanish?

Many native Spanish speakers (just like English) can't spell and they know Spanish is mostly written out like it sounds. The problem is that they themselves will often confuse a v and a b and will forget the silent h. My stepson, who is from Nicaragua, does this all the time. It's embaring because I know how to spell words better than he does and I'm not native.
