Looking for an old children's book about a Giraffe that loses his mother. Does anyone know where to find it?

The book was published either in the early or late 1980's. This book is about a giraffe that is named Benny that loses his mother and finds her in the end. It is paperback and has a giraffe and it's mother on the front.(I think) It was a book my husband had when he was a kid and I am trying to find it for our 1 year anniversary.
