I need advice on a criminal legal matter?

There are several charges in this matter.However one of them is something that isn't mine it is the co- defendants charge.I had an idiot attorney who did not help in court and with no understanding of what was being said or what i was doing i found out later that i plead to this charge.It was no where in my list of charges neither was i booked on it.I don't know what to do i have consultations with other attorneys set up.In the meantime any advice on what to do about this I have never been in trouble before and don't know anything about the legal system.Help.
