The pill is more effective than the condom, way more, as far as pregnancy goes. Have you been taking it properly? If you have, and you haven't been on antibiotics, then your body is probably just getting used to the pill. Honestly, I don't get my period until the last two or three days of the placebo pills sometimes and then it overlaps into active pills.
